Meditation for
Dummies:
Why: Ashtanga Yoga is considered meditation
in motion and the stillness of savasana offers a doorway
to self-awareness. In this workshop we explore the 5th, 6th
and 7th limbs of Patanjaji’s Yoga Sutras – the
path to meditation as a separate focus.
Come and see why 10 million Americans regularly practice
some form of mindfulness training. Scientists study it and
doctors recommend it. Why? Because it works – boosting
the immune system, rewiring the brain to reduce stress, exploring
spirituality and increasing contentment and happiness.
Chris Loker will take this workshop exploring different
approaches to meditation, the benefits and key tenets of
the practice.

“You don’t need to leave your room.
Remain sitting at your table and listen.
Don’t even listen, simply wait.
Don’t even wait.
Be still and solitary.
The world will freely offer itself to you.
To be unmasked, it has no choice.
It will roll in ecstasy at your feet.”
~ Franz Kafka
