  • One of the most experienced Ashtanga yogis in the world.

  • First person to bring this yoga to Britain in the `80s.

  • Taught in all corners of the globe for the past 20 years inspiring thousands of people.

  • Teaches many high profile personalities and celebrities..

"I was in one of the earliest groups of westerners to learn all the classical sequences of Ashtanga Yoga. My first teachers were David Williams and Nancy Gilgoff. David was the first western Ashtanga adept. I teach regular classes throughout North America, Italy, England, Ireland, Israel, Nepal, Thailand, and Indonesia. I've also taught in Brazil, Taiwan, Egypt, India, Sweden, France and Greece. My main objective is to help people develop a personal, private, safe, healing, meditative practice. After practising Ashtanga Yoga for 27 years and teaching for over 21 years I recognise that anyone can learn aspects of the Ashtanga format. Even men and women in their 60's and 70's are practising the beginning to advanced forms.

It is a modern fallacy to think that the heart rate should be increased to burn calories or get a good workout. Even Jane Fonda has been studying Ashtanga Yoga and uses the series as her means of creating well being. No more aerobics. Aerobics of course is a modern exercise form.

Ashtanga Yoga is considered one of the most powerful means of purifying the body of toxins. The glandular system is re-animated and re-vitalised in Yoga. Everyone who practices Yoga, and in particular Ashtanga, (because it is the most concentrated form) quickly sees a boost in their immune system response. They get sick less often, or pass through illnesses much more quickly than before they began Yoga. Well-being becomes one of the ultimate results from practising Yoga. Many diseases can be easily eliminated from the practice of Yoga. The bone structure of individuals is brought into correct alignment. Bad postural habits are corrected and eliminated. The nervous system, which is the subtle electrical circuitry of the body is also brought into balance."
